What you’ll be doing
As a Lung Function Scientist, you’ll deliver accurate and comprehensive respiratory function testing to diagnose and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.
Perform complex lung function tests including spirometry, diffusion capacity and airway reactivity
Calibrate, maintain and prepare laboratory equipment to the highest standards
Analyse and present results for medical reporting and clinical decision-making
Participate in developing, implementing and evaluating laboratory policies and practices
Support education, training, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Essential Criteria: Qualification: Scientific degree in relevant area
Selection Criteria: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in respiratory function testing
Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment whilst working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes set to meet client expectations
Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement and to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities
