Remuneration: $40 to $52/hr (depending on experience)

About the Role
The Lung Health Clinic is a private respiratory service based in Nedlands, WA, with a high demand for respiratory testing and specialist respiratory services. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Scientist to join our team preferably on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality respiratory care in a well-established clinic with a focus on patient-centred services.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, lung volumes, gas transfer, exhaled nitric oxide, 6-minute walk testing, mannitol testing and allergen skin prick testing.
• An opportunity exists to become skilled in Multibreath Nitrogen Washout Testing and FOT
• Ensure accurate calibration, and maintenance of equipment and follow infection control requirements.
• Provide high-quality patient care, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, administration staff and external service providers.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Physiology, or a related field.
• Previous experience working as a Respiratory Scientist or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of respiratory physiology testing and clinical guidelines.
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet application and clinical information systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
