TSANZSRS 2025

The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide in 2025.

TSANZSRS 2025 will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 21 – 25 March 2025 (ANZSRS; 22 – 24th March and TSANZ; 22 – 25 March) with opportunities to attend pre-conference Postgraduate Workshops Friday 21 March.

The theme for The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting is: Sustainable advances in Lung Health in a Changing Climate.

Climate change is a threat to respiratory health and healthcare and we need to develop adaptation strategies. The conference theme “Sustainable advances in lung health in a changing climate” will explore feasible and continual solutions to mitigate adverse consequences to lung health.

The theme for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science 2025 Annual Scientific meeting is: Lung function – unravelling the mysteries.

Lung function interpretation has evolved over recent years with new international guidelines released. The results measured in pulmonary function laboratories have significant clinical implications, however, there remain many mysteries as to how best to use them to provide insight into a patient’s disease pathophysiology. The theme this year will focus on the mysteries that remain in pulmonary function interpretation as we explore topics such as the use of racial adjustment, the relevance of bronchodilator testing and how best to apply these to real world scenarios.
